Friedhelm Rücker, born in 1956, is married and has two adult children. His educational background includes studies and state examinations in politics, sports and psychology. Initially he worked as a research assistant at the Justus Liebig University of Gießen, and then trained as a business information scientist. His professional stations range from lecturer for programming and databases at a private institute for further education, to programmer and IT manager at a medium-sized manufacturer of computer accessories, to head of organization and IT at a large German furniture retail chain. For 23 years he was CIO of the Friedhelm Loh Group and Rittal. Afterwards he was an independent consultant for IT strategy and digitalization and uses this expertise today for advacon.
